Also, when I unplug the mic but leave the USB sound card in, I can still hear the noise. I've also downloaded an Asio driver but when I select this option in preferences it defaults to my laptops microphone and doesn't seem to register the external mic. I have played around with the buffer size but this didn't help. I would recommend push to talk instead of a refund. Its like a buzzing, crackling noise that I can't get rid of. Awesome thank for the help man, I have way to much background noise for a seperate mic, looks like it is time for a refund That mic is a really good mic. When the mic is plugged in through the USB sound card and the Audio Track is armed, there is a terrible background noise. It also came with a USB External Sound Card - I have a feeling this is where the problem lies. I have just bought a condenser microphone kit to start recording vocals with. I'm new to Ableton and still on my 30 day trial.
